Mobile Health Data magazine writes about Motion Computing’s new mini tablet, and suggests a similar category for Nokia 770 - mini tablet PC. At the same time, Motion Computing is coming up with a name of its own for LS800 - Ultra-Mobile Slate.
Phil Wilson:
With the recent announcements of the N91 and the 770, Nokia have shown that they’re not kidding around. They’re not in this to sell phones, they’re in this to sell mobile digital devices. It’s tempting to say “mini-PCs”, but we’re probably not quite there yet.
John Bedard:
This might be what I’ve been looking for - Nokia 770 Internet Tablet. I have no need for a laptop or PDA most of the time. But it sure would be nice to have some way to access e-mail on the road without relying on hotel PCs (although finding a WiFi hotspot could get tricky).

New HOWTO posted on Maemo.org:
To allow the Application Installer to install your application, you need to create a .deb package that follows certain conventions. This HOWTO explains these conventions and offers a example package that you could use as the base for your own packages. This text assumes some familarity with building .deb packages, but you should be able to pick up the basic things from looking at the example package.

Karoliina T. Salminen from Nokia confirms support for Bluetooth keyboards in Nokia 770:
I have seen by my own eyes bluetooth keyboard running with N770 and it works fine. However, the problem currently is the input method (virtual keyboard) which pops up when you tap some input field. If that does not bother you, the external keyboard is usable without modifications allthough is currently unsupported.
