PortableGadgets runs a guide on doing a remote wireless VNC connection from Sony PSP.
Have you ever wanted to get online with a smaller device when you’re at home? Laptop doesnt’ seem small enough, while the Nokia 770 isn’t available yet.
Sony PSP seems to be one of the devices to give N770 a run for the money, if the Internet browser and productivity apps will ever successfully run on that platform. Bright screen, large user base, pretty significant availability of games and WiFi support make it a hit today and might impact 770 sales tomorrow.
As the owner of a PSP, let me say that they are fab for games, but they totally suck as a web browser. No touch screen + no keyboard = grief.
Bring on the 770!

Comment by philmcneal 10.24.05 @ 4:00 pmI now have both (bought my 770 at CompUsa last night) and I see them as two totally different machines- though I love em equally. The 770 is for email and web, maybe PIM as well if I intall the additional apps, but it will never come close to the PSP for games as far as I know (I’m not too fond of emulators for old 8 bit games). It’s not designed for them. Both the PSP and 770 are decent media players, I may give a nod to the 770 because of the different video formats it can handle, but if you’re willing to convert what ever video you download from the internet into mp4 for the PSP, the larger screen is hard to beat there. Web on the PSP is an after-thought at best. Seem to work ‘OK’, but chokes on various content too often for my tastes. Oh well, just my $.02.
