The official page still bears that “coming in Q3″ promise, but today a contact from Nokia said that “media copies” of the device would be available. Those are the Nokias they distribute to magazines and review sites like CNet right before it hits the market.

Comment by Nintendofreak 09.02.05 @ 4:01 amHey,
Will you have to pay monthly? If you do Im so just getting a PSP with the upgrade.
Comment by TOm 09.07.05 @ 3:53 amI’m still not sure we’ll see it before the end of september - probably the beginning of October. The reason for this is simple - have you seen any advertising for the 770? I know I haven’t, either online or in the “real world”. I think nokia have left it too late to be launching this month.
My bet is we’ll see an ad campaign in the second half / last week of the month, then the 770 will actually be available from October.
Comment by James 09.08.05 @ 2:59 pmI don’t know why they don’t update the information on their web sites. Nothing looks more stupid that having a web site saying something will be available on a certain date and it being past that date. I always think “Well, it wasn’t released on time. I wonder what’s wrong with it?”.
Comment by Simon 09.09.05 @ 1:23 amIndeed, just have patience, the 3Q ends 30 September .
Comment by Jan 09.09.05 @ 2:41 amI wonder if this site will be redesigned to look ok at 800 pixels wide…
Comment by Steve 09.10.05 @ 1:08 amI’d rather they got on with developing it than pander to us lot - lets face it, we’re all going to buy one when they come out whether they talk to us beforehand or not!!
Comment by James 09.12.05 @ 7:31 pmIf the media copies are available, where are the reviews?? Hurry, hurry!!

Ive seen the adverts, they were sent to me to give my opinion as a potential user one month ago. They were about people reading their mail or booking flights ans stuff like that in different places like the toilet or an airport. Well, quite predictible, aint it?
