PC Magazine brightens the day with a short article on Nokia 770, which doesn’t have a whole lot to add to what we already know except for the quote from Nokia:
“We will be launching regular updates of the software,” says Janne Jormalainen, vice president of convergence products at Nokia. “The next software release, planned for the first half of next year, will support more presence-based features, including VoIP and instant messaging.”
Well, considering that their porting example includes gaim, that’s my bet, too. Without keyboard, however, IM client is not too useful.
Comment by admin 07.14.05 @ 11:58 pmI’ve been thinking about this. If we assume that I have Skype-In running on a 770, and that I spend most of my time in wi-fi hotspots (and that voicemail catches my calls the rest of the time)… would I need to buy a cellphone at all?
Also, I’m confused where the sound goes into the 770. I only see a sound-out port.
