wonder if they’ll price-match their own price for those of us who paid 379 less than two weeks ago?
Comment by john c abell 01.05.06 @ 3:00 amTheir return policy is 3-weeks, so if they won’t give an adjustment return it and repurchase it ;D
Comment by Dave 01.05.06 @ 4:50 amForgot to mention that each store may not have the same price as listed on their website. The store I went to today to get my 770 was selling them for $399.
Comment by Dave 01.05.06 @ 4:54 amFYI - Just called my local CompUSA. A representative told me if I bring in the box and receipt and explain that I just purchased the unit two weeks ago, they should be able to provide a credit for the price difference.
Comment by Jason Pester 01.05.06 @ 6:25 amI’m SO now buying the thing… was going to anyway as soon as the market got a bit less crowded around the 770.
Comment by jpDesign 01.05.06 @ 6:51 amUpdate…
‘Went to CompUSA with the Nokia 770 box and receipt from two weeks ago. The representative in Customer Service looked up the unit - store price $379, online price $349. They assumed it was an online price only, but nevertheless, gave me the $30 credit. I give them an A+ in customer satisfaction
Comment by Jason Pester 01.05.06 @ 2:14 pmI got $10 back for my 770. I bought it for $360 at Dec 11 sale 10% off $400. Took in the box, reciept and print out off the website and they did a return\purchase price adjust no hassles.
Comment by Tweak 01.06.06 @ 9:42 amFry’s just advertised the 770 at $399. I’m sure it will drop quickly. It must be selling well for Fry’s to pick it up so soon.
Comment by Richard 01.08.06 @ 12:28 amFriday, the Fry’s in Portland advertised the 770’s at $399.–! Saturday, I stopped by the CompUSA where I bought my unit on another errand, & happened to mention this to one of the employees. He confided that they were now out of stock — they had sold their last 770 Wednesday — making Fry’s crazy like a fox for their inflated price!

they keep the same price afterwards.

Comment by Frank McDermott 03.15.06 @ 3:29 amIs there any advantage to purchasing the Nokia 770 from Nokia vs. Compusa or J&R music? The price is the same and they have free shipping. Any good or bad experiences on return or repair?
