Nokia 770 :: Nokia 770 and Outlook
Nokia 770 and Outlook
Tuesday November 08th 2005, 7:03 am Category: Nokia 770 FAQ

pscoop asks:

Will I be able to use outlook and get my contacts into the 770?

Not according to the specs. Currently it doesn’t look like the mail client will import your Outlook address book from the PC. However, both Yahoo! Mail and Gmail, which, depending on your situation, might be a workaround.

Update: See comment from Dirk at Nokia saying 770 mail client should support importing any address books exported into CSV.

And if you are an outlook user (like I am!) and your company has Outlook Web Access setup correctly, you have access through all features of outlook through the web browser!

The email client supports importing contacts in csv formats from a couple of different clients. As long as you are able to export your contacts to one of these formats, you should be able to import them.

Import in CSV doesn´t work. I have tried it copying csv file in card. Nokia 770 detects archive and begin to import but after a while says “format file not ok or corrupted”.

I could sure use some help. I am trying to import contacts to my 770 from Thunderbird. I created a file, uploaded it via USB to memory card. However, the contacts program doesn’t see the file for import from either the memory card or the main directory. Is there a naming convention I need or should the file be somplace else or what? Thanks - Paul
