A new HOWTO on using Bluetooth GPS device and GPSDrive app with Nokia 770. Pretty impressive project.

Can it be used with the Nokia Bluetooth GPS?

It can be used with Nokia Bluetooth GPS and I think anything else goes as well. I’ve tried Nokia GPS myself and it worked. Although the GPS receiver is not the best in the world.

My first thought was how can I get this to work with my Garmin Legend which only has a serial port? I’m sure it’s possible using a serial to USB converter cable and a linux driver for it. It would be worth looking into.

Can it be fitted in to the compartment where the CD player is.. can i remove the CD player and the compartment below it and connect 770 to speakers so i can play songs on 770. Can this be done ?

is the nokia bluetooth gps an integrated entity? or is it purchsed seperately and if so, where can i get my hands on it?

I used the readme to install the drivers on the nokia 700 device. The installation of XTERM was OK, but when I tried to install maemo-libpcre3.deb (ver 0.0.1), I got an error that the apllication isnot compatible software. I have OS version 3.2006.49-2. What’s the answer to the problem?
